About DannyIf something in your business should work better, I want to understand why.
JDG is founder-led. Here’s who you’d actually be working with. Background, beliefs, and the story of the brand.

Sales mindset. Builder mindset. Business-first thinking.
I’m Jaime “Danny” Gonzalez, founder of JDG and a University of California, Santa Barbara graduate. My experience has crossed sales, insurance, customer service, cross-selling, local-business marketing, business development, automation, and software development.
That range is the advantage. I’ve taken the sales calls, chased the quiet quotes, asked for the reviews, and worked the cross-sell, and I’ve built the software that makes those things systematic. When I recommend something, it’s because I’ve seen the problem from the selling side, the serving side, and the building side.
A varied background, on purpose.
Speed and follow-up decide who wins
Watching real customers choose taught me that most businesses don’t lose to better competitors. They lose to silence. Response time and follow-up discipline are where revenue quietly leaks.
Earned relationships are underused assets
Cross-selling showed me how much revenue hides inside customers a business already serves, and that capturing it takes a system and good timing, never pressure.
Psychology beats jargon
At UCSB I studied how people actually make decisions. I use that to create marketing and customer experiences that connect, plain language, honest proof, obvious next steps.
Most tech problems are process problems
Building automation and full products taught me to map the workflow before writing code. Technology bolted onto a broken process just makes the process fail faster.
The arrow has been there since day one.
Built for small businesses, backed by big results.
JDG started as a local marketing company for Goleta and Santa Barbara businesses. Quality over quantity, a select few clients at a time, judged on revenue instead of likes. The original logo carried a growth arrow on a blue-and-red field. As JDG grew into consulting and technology, the mark was refined rather than replaced: the arrow and the red stayed, because the identity isn’t a costume. It’s a record. The original logo remains part of the brand, preserved exactly as it was.
“I help local businesses grow through strategic marketing that actually works.”
the original JDG site. The toolbox grew; the job didn’t change.
“My approach is simple: quality over quantity, each business gets the focused attention it deserves.”
JDG remains deliberately small-batch and founder-led.
“I’m not here to sell you a package. I’m here to partner with you and grow together.”
Which is why every engagement starts with diagnosis, not a product list.
How I work. Motivated, not desperate.
What you get
- Curiosity. I want to understand why something doesn’t work
- Responsiveness, usually same-day on weekdays
- Hands-on building, the person you talk to does the work
- Adaptability. If the plan isn’t working, we pivot fast
- Persistence. Problems get figured out, not filed away
What you’ll never get
- Technology recommended without a diagnosed problem
- Invented clients, fake metrics, or exaggerated credentials
- A junior team behind a senior pitch: JDG is founder-led
- Jargon in place of a straight answer
- Pressure, the diagnosis is useful whether or not we build together
What you’ll never see on this site.
No invented clients. No fabricated statistics. No fake testimonials. Where proof is still being earned, projects are labeled honestly. Concept, prototype, pilot, in development, or demonstration. When results exist and can be verified, you’ll see them clearly. Until then, JDG would rather show you the working system than a made-up number.
What could work better in your business?
Maybe you know the answer. Maybe something just feels off. Either is enough to start.
