The Problem
Teachers and principals drown in writing: narrative report cards, family communication, observation notes. The work matters, but it consumes evenings and weekends, and generic AI tools understand neither classrooms nor the careful tone families deserve.
What I Noticed
Watching a veteran educator work, the bottleneck was never ideas. It was translation: knowing a student deeply, then turning that knowledge into careful written language for families, dozens of times over. The educator supplies the judgment. Software should supply the drafting stamina.
The Opportunity
One workspace where an educator drafts student narratives faster without losing their own voice, sees patterns across a class, and builds targeted practice material. Success looks like evenings returned, with the human judgment untouched.
What I Designed
Three connected tools: Write, guided narrative drafting in the educator’s own voice. Class Insights, patterns across a class at a glance. Practice Studio, targeted practice material. A plain-language interface built for daily non-technical use.
What I Built
Current Status
Pilot, built hands-on with a career educator and school principal and in real private use. Not publicly available.
