Pilot
The Problem
Facilities and field-service leaders can’t see work as it happens. Paper checklists lag, self-reporting drifts, and verifying presence at a location has no clean mechanism. The consequence: supervisors reconstruct the day from memory, and disputes have no evidence either way.
What I Noticed
Watching a real facilities operation, the constraint wasn’t worker effort. It was that every existing tracking method added work for the people doing the work. Any system that costs a frontline worker more than five seconds gets abandoned. The design ceiling was set by the busiest person, not the supervisor.
The Opportunity
If capturing work took a single phone tap, with no app install, no forms, and no login friction, presence and task progress could be trustworthy without surveillance theater. Success looks like supervisors seeing live task state and workers doing nothing but tapping a tag.
What I Designed
NFC tags placed at task locations; a worker taps a phone to capture presence and task state in seconds; progress rolls up to a supervisor console in real time; records are time-stamped and location-anchored. Security hardened, and designed so the worker experience stays effortless.
What I Built
Current Status
Piloted in a live enterprise facility environment in San Francisco. Details are shared in conversation under the operator’s confidentiality expectations. Organization names are not used publicly.
